Red ends

New hair ^^

After doing pretty much the same thing to my hair during my past few visits at Salon Vim, Ivan felt that it was time to finally go for change. My whole life I've been so conservative about my hair, I kid you not when I say I freaked out and stayed home for 2 days after I got my new hairdo. But I've spent the past week trying to get used to my new do and I think its great I finally went for a change after 18 years of my life having jet black hair. Even though I had to lighten my hair in order to do these dark copper red highlights at the ends, Ivan used a L'oreal ammonia-free lighening paste which is somewhat like bleaching. I have to admit the damaging properties of bleach did scare me at first, obviously I didn't want to be left with dry, frizzy hair especially with my already horrible hair condition (it sadly runs in the family). And I guess I don't need to go on about how dangerous ammonia is especially in bleach. So the great thing about this lightening paste was that it also strengthens and nourishes cuticles, smoothens and softens hair fibre and maintains hair surfaces for healthy-looking hair. A L'oreal nature's treats series clay masque scalp treatment and ginseng color treatment followed after. I now am part a red head. Part's the word. Part. Just part. Ivan did a great job and though my hair might still need some time getting used to, I'm so glad I went for this change. And embracing it just the way I should. The hair cut was just a good finish too. My fringe needs a week or so to grow out before it becomes the perfect length! Its been a rather interesting week with the new hair. So i'll just wait and see where it takes me too now! Salon vim is located at 313 Somerset #04-07/08/09. My readers get a 10% off!
