I've had my hair done so much recently I thought it would be great to tone it down this month when I paid a visit to Salon Vim a couple of weeks ago. Ivan, being a darling as always, thought so too. I've blogged about the wonders of Balayage before, you can check it out here. But if you haven't, its basically 'one of the most popular french colouring techniques for highlights which grow out without developing a noticeable and obvious root' as quoted from my previous post. We decided on Majirel's Red Copper Blonde together with my already brownish hair (Majirel's Dark Brown) for a more natural and polished finish since I dived into the whole idea of the perfect dip-dye.
My hair feels a little less complicated now which is great. It is definitely a whole lot more manageable now with LO'real's Fiberceutic and Power Cell Repair treatment Ivan ended off with. The Power Repair B is a post chemical treatment that repairs and strengthens hair cuticles, nourishes, and protects the hair fibre with its UV filter giving it a lasting hair surface. I personally never knew that hair could be protected from the strong sun that we have in the Summer, and especially in Singapore so it was fantastic knowing my hair could be protected from the light. The Fiberceutic treatment by LO'real is for over-processed hair, just like mine. It creates a strong and yet flexible framework to support and prevent the fiber from collasping. Along with reconstructing and restoring our hair cortex. The cortex is actually the centre part of the hair that gives its special qualities such as elasticity and curls.
Not gonna go any more in-depth into the technical details but if you've been following me you would definitely most certainly know that I trust Ivan with life (or my hair) and he's been doing the most fantastic job. Even Nigel paid him a visit for his first haircut in Singapore, photo here, and loved it. We shot these looks when we decided to pay the beach a visit last week. It was such a beautiful day to shoot. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did. Get your hair all spruced up for the summer with Ivan at Salon Vim! Salon vim is located at 313 Somerset #04-05/06/07. *Ps, Pardon if my hair got messy in the way! I would have photoshopped but I guess I'm not such a pro. It was the perfect day to shoot, just a pity the breeze had to get in the way. Thank you Nigel for the photos!
